Suki

Suki has reached a wonderful milestone — she’s feeling good, healing beautifully, and ready to find her forever home. After thorough veterinary care, it was discovered that Suki had suffered past head trauma that caused swelling, infection, and discomfort. Once a hidden bone fragment was removed, her body began to heal almost immediately — and the change has been remarkable.

Today, Suki is brighter, more comfortable, happier, more playful, and clearly feeling like herself again. While she still has follow-up care and possible specialty treatment ahead, she’s in a stable place and ready to move forward into a loving home where she can continue healing surrounded by care and consistency.

Suki is a gentle, resilient girl with a calm spirit and a sweet heart. She’s handled everything thrown her way with grace and trust, and she’s ready for a new chapter filled with safety and love.

Suki is currently being fostered in Austin, TX.

Swift

High above in the clouds of imagination, a little flock of pups was born under the gentle care of their momma on August 1, 2025. Now these sky-kissed adventurers are ready for their forever homes!

 Meet Swift!
The smallest of the bunch, with a dark coat that shimmers with golden highlights. This little lovebug is pure sweetness. He’s not a fan of the leash yet, so we’re taking it slow while he learns the ropes.

Fun fact: DNA testing shows the Skyborne pups are approximately 60% Chow Chow, 25% Supermutt, and 12% Lab, with a hint of Pit Bull and German Shepherd — a beautiful blend of brains, loyalty, and heart.

The Skyborne pups were born August 1, 2025.

Swift is currently being fostered in  Hallsville, TX.

Kelsey

Kelsey is ready to go to her forever home! Apply today to take home your very own teddy bear. Yes, believe it or not, the squishable fuzzy bear in the photo is ACTUALLY a dog under all that fluff!!... and we couldn't love her anymore!

After narrowly escaping euthanasia, this beautiful Chow girl is finally safe and decompressing in a loving foster home — and she’s showing just how special she is. Within her first hour, Kelsey was accepting kisses, full-body pets (yes, even belly rubs!), and choosing to lay right next to her person on her own.

- Exceptionally sweet and gentle

- Loves human attention and closeness

- Calm, affectionate, and emotionally tuned-in

As Kelsey continues to decompress, she’s thriving most when things are calm and her space is respected. She may do best solo in a home that allows for thoughtful, low-pressure introductions and a peaceful routine so she can continue blossoming at her own pace. If you’re Chow-savvy and looking for a deeply loving companion, Kelsey may be your girl.

Kelsey is currently being fostered in Ft. Worth, TX.

Stephen Chowbert

If you’ve ever wanted a dog with a BIG personality, zero understanding of personal space, and an endless supply of love — Stephen Chowbert is ready to audition for the role of your new best friend.

This boy LOVES people and wants to be involved in absolutely everything you’re doing. Personal space? Never heard of it. Stephen believes affection means climbing into your lap, laying across your stomach, hopping onto your back, and making himself completely at home wherever you are. If you sit down, congratulations — you now have a Chowbert.

Stephen Chowbert’s Personality:

• Big goofy sweetheart

• Plays wonderfully with dogs of all sizes

• Extremely affectionate and people-focused

• Equal parts cuddler and comedian

He’s also very food-motivated (okay… extremely food motivated). If snacks are involved, Stephen is fully convinced they belong to him, so food boundaries and supervision will help set everyone up for success.

Crate training is still a work in progress — he dramatically turns into “dead weight” when asked to go in and would much rather sleep next to his humans or alongside another dog. He does best when he has companionship and enjoys being close to his people or canine friends at bedtime.

Stephen Chowbert is the kind of dog who will fill your home with laughter, warmth, and constant companionship. He isn’t looking for perfection — just a family ready to embrace his goofy, loving spirit.

Stephen Chowbert is currently being fostered in Austin, TX.

Magnolia

At 4 years old and 37 lbs, Magnolia is a wonderful medium-sized companion — past the puppy chaos but still young with so much love to give. When she arrived, she was a bit underweight and understandably scared, but with good meals, patience, and kindness, she’s already beginning to settle in and feel safer.

Magnolia was adopted from a shelter about a year ago, but unfortunately things didn’t work out in that home and she eventually needed somewhere new to go. Thankfully, she made the journey to safety where she can decompress and start healing.

Despite everything she’s been through, Magnolia has a gentle, sweet nature. She simply needs time and a patient home where she can continue building trust and confidence at her own pace.

Even better — Magnolia has shown that she does well with both dogs and cats, making her a great potential addition to many homes.

Magnolia would thrive with:

- A calm, understanding family

- Someone patient who will give her time to settle in

- A forever home committed to loving her for life

She’s currently focusing on gaining healthy weight, relaxing in her foster home, and will likely need entropion surgery to keep her comfortable. Through it all, Magnolia continues to show quiet resilience and hope.

Magnolia is currently being fostered in Colorado.

Lucky Bucky

Meet Lucky Bucky, the adorable young pup with the floppy puppy ears that everyone instantly falls in love with!  At about a year old and 44 lbs, he’s a great medium size — perfect for adventures, walks, and plenty of couch snuggles.

Lucky Bucky is a happy, affectionate boy who seems to carry sunshine wherever he goes. With his sweet nature and playful spirit, he’s the kind of dog who just wants to be near his people and soak up all the love he can get.

He’s heartworm negative and ready to start the next chapter of his life with a family of his very own. Recently he had to get a shave around his neck, and the shelter also had to clean off a black tar-like substance that was stuck in his fur around his neck, backside, and paws. Because of that cleanup and grooming, you might notice his coat looks a little uneven right now — like the extra fluff on his cheek. That’s simply from the grooming process and his beautiful mane and coat will grow back in with time!

For now, we think it just adds a little extra character to this already charming boy.

Lucky Bucky is currently being fostered in Red Oak, IA.
