Monte Hall

Meet Monte Hall — The Sweetest Boy You’ll Ever Meet

Monte’s journey started with heartbreak: he was left behind in an apartment when his former people moved away. But this 3-year-old, 61 lb smooth-coated Chow mix (with a little Lab sprinkled in) has shown nothing but love and gentleness ever since.

Why Monte is so special:

- Dog-friendly — he’s had roommates and loves canine company

- Affectionate, calm, and easygoing

- Fantastic choice for beginner Chow families — he’s an easy dog who would do great in a family home with kids, other dogs, and plenty of love

- Cat testing can be done for approved applicants

Monte is the kind of pup who makes life brighter just by being in it. He’s gentle enough for a family, social enough for doggy siblings, and sweet enough to win over anyone’s heart.

If you’ve been waiting for a loyal, family-friendly companion with a heart of gold, Monte is ready to go home.

Monte is currently being fostered in Austin, TX.

Kestrel & the Skyborne Pups

High above in the clouds of imagination, a little flock of pups was born under the gentle care of their momma on August 1, 2025. Now these sky-kissed adventurers are ready for their forever homes!

Momma Kestrel – At 5 years old, Kestrel has done an incredible job raising her little flock. After all her hard work, she’s finally getting some well-deserved rest — and her fur is starting to grow back beautifully. This gentle, loving girl is ready for calm skies and a family of her own.

Meet the Skyborne Litter:

Pippit - ADOPTED!

Lark – Bright, bouncy, and always chasing sunshine (female).
Swift – Fast as the breeze, playful and bold. (male)
Bran – Steady and thoughtful, the quiet heart of the group (male).

Fun fact: DNA testing shows the Skyborne pups are about 60% Chow Chow, 25% Supermutt, and 12% Lab — with a sprinkle of Pit Bull and German Shepherd in the mix! A sky-high blend of sweetness, smarts, and charm.

Kestrel and the Skyborne Pups are currently being fostered in Hallsville, TX.

Kylo

At just 1 year old and 43 lbs, Kylo is already proving what a brave, resilient soul he is. After leaving the Garland Shelter behind, this sweet boy is now decompressing and showing his true colors — playful, loving, and full of life.

He’s been the perfect gentleman with his foster pack (especially his pittie pal, Monica) and sailed through his neuter like a champ. In true Kylo fashion, he’s also shown his clever side — managing a few great escapes from his cone!

Kylo’s charm shines brightest in the little moments — when he gently asks for attention, trots proudly beside his friends, or gives that “thank you” look that says he knows he’s safe.

Kylo is currently being fostered in Angleton, TX.

Shaboozey

Meet Shaboozey! Looking for a fun-loving, tail-wagging companion? Shaboozey is 2 years old, 54 lbs, and ready to find his forever family.

Shaboozey is a sweet, playful, and affectionate guy who loves being around people. He enjoys walks (leash training in progress!), attention, and just hanging out with his favorite humans. He’s polite with other dogs and has no food aggression or bite history—just a lovable personality that shines everywhere he goes.

Highlights:

- Loves leashes and walks—walkies are his happy place!

- Gentle, non-barrier reactive, and likely open to crating

- No cats due to prey drive

We are learning more about Shaboozey each day, and it’s clear he’s a gem of a dog who won’t last long in the rescue. Could your home be his happily-ever-after?

Shaboozey is currently being fostered in Austin, TX.

Meira

Meira is a little girl who’s already had a rough start in life. She was purchased sight unseen from a backyard breeder in Georgia, and the person who bought her realized she wasn’t “breeding quality.” For three days, she was left in a crate with almost no interaction. Despite this, she’s not mean at all—just nervous and needing love.

When she arrived in the rescue, she immediately ran to a crate and felt safe for the first time in her life. She’s a tiny bundle at 35 lbs, HW negative, and estimated to be around 1 year old.

Meira is shy but so eager to learn, play, and trust. She’s not a dog with a mean bone—she just needs patience, kindness, and a forever home that will help her blossom. If you think you could be the loving family to help Meira shine, get your application in now—she won’t wait long for the right home.

Meira is currently being fostered in Georgia.

Toastee

If you’re looking for a gentle, people-loving companion, Toastee is your girl. This petite sweetheart has been blossoming beautifully, and every day she shows us just how ready she is to find her forever family.

Why everyone falls in love with Toastee:

- Perfect with men, women, and kids of all ages — she truly loves people.

- A fantastic car rider — she stops at the car door hoping for her next ride.

- House-trained and working on her crate skills.

- Enjoys a fenced backyard and peaceful outdoor time.

- Walks nicely on leash (a little pull at first, but improving!).

- Sweet, affectionate, and loves to nuzzle in for snuggles.

- Would thrive as an only dog or with very calm dogs who give her space.

- Allergic to chicken, so she’ll need a chicken-free diet.

Despite her age, Toastee still has a playful spark — she loves spending time with her foster’s 13-year-old son and his friends, proving she’s still got plenty of joy and life to share. She’s all about companionship, closeness, and being someone’s steady, gentle buddy.

She has handled all her vet care with such a brave heart and is settling in beautifully. Now she just needs her person — someone who wants a loyal shadow and a snuggly best friend.

Toastee is currently being fostered in  Thompson’s Station, TN .
