Wild hair - don't care! Just like my namesake! Meet Kramer: a young, happy-go-lucky Chow Chow who just turned 3 months old!
Hi friends! I am looking for a home with someone to raise me with love and direction! No problems with being handled, walked, brushed or fed. I’m dog-friendly with proper introductions to any dogs I have met!!
My foster mom says I'm an absolute delight! I’m eager to see more of life with a forever human companion! I’m also FULLY potty trained, FULLY crate trained, and working on leash training!
I am best suited for a home with children over 12 that will respect my young energy by redirecting me to toys, teaching obedience and showing loving patience. I’m very smart already, but still learning about my sharp baby teeth. I may give you side-eye at the vet, but that is the only negative temperament I’ve shown!
Kramer is currently being fostered in Austin, TX.

For a dog who spent more than 2 months surviving on her own in the woods, Koa has turned out to be remarkably adaptable. She's smart, easygoing, wonderful with other animals, and happiest when she's simply spending time with her people.
This young Chow girl is currently about 38 pounds and still gaining weight as she recovers. While she may be a little reserved when meeting new people, she quickly becomes a devoted companion once she decides you're one of her people. Before long, she'll be following you from room to room, curling up beside you on the couch, and keeping you company throughout the day.
Koa's Highlights:
- Dog friendly
- Cat friendly
- No resource guarding
- Excellent on leash
- House companion extraordinaire
Personality:
Koa has all the classic Chow dignity, but she's paired it with an unusually easygoing attitude around other animals. She lives peacefully with dogs and cats and mostly prefers spending her time focused on her humans.
She enjoys walks, has wonderful leash manners, and is just as happy spending the evening relaxing on the couch. She's not a high-energy dog, but she does appreciate a good daily walk and quality time with her family.
Koa does have some separation anxiety, which is understandable given everything she's been through. She's happiest in a home where she gets plenty of companionship, exercise, and a predictable routine. Once settled, she's content to curl up and nap while her people go about their day.
Fun Fact:
Koa is brave enough to survive alone in the woods for months...
...but wet grass? Absolutely not. If the yard is damp from rain, sprinklers, or morning dew, she'd much rather negotiate for a walk than step onto soggy grass.
Koa has already proven she's resilient. Now she's looking for something much simpler: a family, a couch, and a person to follow around for the rest of her life. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a gentle heart and an easygoing nature, Koa may be your perfect match.
Koa is currently being fostered in College Station, TX.

At just 2 years old, Winnie is the perfect mix of playful puppy and laid-back potato. One minute he's romping around with his dog friends, ready for an adventure, and the next you'll find him stretched out in a sunny spot on the floor, watching the world go by.
Winnie loves other dogs and would enjoy having a canine companion to play with. He's a goofy, quiet boy with a sweet personality who thrives in a calmer home environment. If you're looking for a hiking buddy, walking partner, or just a furry friend to keep you company while you relax, Winnie may be your guy.
One of his foster family's favorite things about him? While most dogs fight for the couch, Winnie prefers the floor. Every time they try to invite him up for cuddles, he hops right back down and sploots across the room like it's his full-time job.
Because of his prey drive, Winnie will need a home without small pets. He would also do best in a home without young children, though he has done well with older kids who understand and respect dogs.
Winnie the Pooh is currently being fostered in Boerne, TX.

Rosetta arrived in rescue with neglected skin, a thin coat, and little confidence. Today, she's blossoming into the playful, sassy girl she was always meant to be.
Her fur is growing back beautifully, she handled her first full groom like a queen, and we've learned one very important thing... Rosetta might actually be part duck. She discovered a lake this week and happily dragged her foster right in with her!
Rosetta's Highlights:
• 6 years young, 44 lbs
• Fully potty and crate trained
• Clean bill of health—no medications needed
• Learning basic commands
• Loves posing for photos and being the center of attention
• Best matched with male dogs or easygoing companions
• Not yet tested with small dogs or children
Rosetta is affectionate, intelligent, and becoming more adventurous every day. She warms up to new people with a little patience and quickly realizes that new friends mean treats, pets, and admiration. The biggest transformation hasn't been her coat—it's her confidence. She's finally learning that life can be full of lake days, spa days, and all the love she deserves.
Rosetta is currently being fostered in Clearview, TX.

Meet Reiner — a smart, spunky guy who is eager to please and even more eager to find his person!
Reiner is a super sweet, cuddly guy with a fun personality. He loves his people, loves his toys, and already has quite the résumé of good-boy skills. He knows sit, shake, settle, and kennel, and because he’s so eager to please, we think continued training will be a great way for him to bond with his future family.
Mention the leash? Reiner comes running! He enjoys walks and car rides, and while he can get a little enthusiastic on leash, he listens well and knows how to wait when asked.
He’s also been a rockstar in his kennel. He settles nicely and enjoys having his treats, bones, and other special goodies there. Reiner is still working on his doggy social skills.
A few things to know about Reiner:
- 4 years old
- 59 pounds
- Dog selective
Reiner is an absolute sweetheart — affectionate, cuddly, playful, and ready to be someone’s best buddy. He’s looking for a family who will give him structure, continue his training, and love that spunky Reiner personality!
Reiner is currently being fostered in Houston, TX.

If you’re looking for a sweet, goofy, loyal girl with a BIG personality, Xina might just be your perfect match. Xina is affectionate, cuddly, and absolutely loves attention from her people. Once she trusts you, expect her to gently roll into you for pets and scratches — she’s very good at making sure you know when she wants love.
Young Xina prefers slow introductions and takes time building trust, especially with men or people who approach too quickly. She communicates honestly and appreciates calm, respectful body language. Once she feels safe, her sweet personality really shines.
She’s also stubborn… and probably a little too clever for her own good. But she learns FAST! She’s already improved her manners and now politely sits at the door instead of trying to bulldoze her way outside.
- 2 years old
- 37 lbs
- Heartworm positive
- Heartworm treatment fully covered by HCCC
- LOVES fetch
- Prey drive: Squirrels, birds, and cats are VERY exciting and will absolutely steal her attention
- Mostly ignores barking dogs behind fences
- Extremely picky eater — meat and cheese are basically the only approved food groups
- Prefers to potty in backyard vs on leash – privacy please!
Xina will thrive with someone patient, understanding, and willing to let her build trust at her own pace. In return, you’ll get a loyal companion with so much love to give and a personality that keeps you laughing every day.
Xina is currently being fostered in Houston, TX.
