Mochi
Mochi’s journey began in fall 2023 when she was found wandering the rural streets of Houston. While it took time to earn her trust, her foster mom quickly realized she was in severe pain from chronic hip issues. Mochi underwent double FHO surgeries, and now, just over a year later, she’s unstoppable! She leaps, runs, hikes, and wrestles without hesitation, spreading joy with every wag of her tail.
This playful, silly, and devoted sweetheart is ready for her forever family. Could it be you? Mochi's qualities:

Hippo
Hippo may be a short king, but his personality is larger than life. This wiggly cutie can’t run very fast, but when excited, he just might balance on his hind legs to show off! A true people dog, Hippo thrives on companionship and is partial to a kind hand offering treats. He’s happiest outdoors, exploring his surroundings with his nose to the ground, and likes to snuggle up after a day of adventure.
On walks, Hippo is learning to master his leash manners. While he tugs a bit at first, he quickly adjusts to your pace after a few strolls together. He’s dog-friendly and calm when meeting other pups up close, though he can’t resist barking at distant dogs.
Hippo’s ideal match is someone who appreciates his playful quirks, supports his learning of how to interact with other dogs, and likes to indulge in his appreciation of the great outdoors. This little guy is all heart, and ready to share it with a forever person.

Nathaly is a lively and confident Chow who loves to chase toys and show off her playful side with an enthusiastic play bow. She’s bursting with energy and curiosity! While she gets along well with other dogs, Nathaly can be reactive if she feels challenged, so her interactions are carefully managed. Once corrected by another dog, she tends to take the hint, showing promise for improvement with proper guidance and socialization.
This young girl has a lot of love to give. As she settles in and her playful nature continues to emerge, Nathaly is sure to become a loyal and entertaining companion. Nilla & Wafer
Introducing Nilla & Wafer: A Sweet Treat Duo. These darling pups were found wandering outside a Kohl’s store on Christmas Eve wearing sweaters. They have since stolen the hearts of everyone who has met them!
Nilla is a calm, quiet Husky mix who loves lounging around and soaking up gentle pets, while Wafer is an affectionate, playful Chow Chow who can’t get enough snuggles and attention. The two buds are fond of each other, and would be thrilled to stay together, but they wouldn't mind safe separate homes too!
What we Know about Nilla & Wafer:
- They’re both sweet, healthy, and happy pups!
- They are great with people and super affectionate.
- If adopted together, they might like a home without other dogs, as Wafer can be protective of Nilla.
- Wafer is still working on crate training, but he's a smart boy and getting there!
- Nilla is super chill, and despite being a Husky, we've yet to hear her bark!
- They’ve been getting along perfectly and often lay next to each other for comfort.
Nilla and Wafter are looking for a family that can give them lots of love and attention— a space where they enjoy a calm, safe environment, where they will never find themselves searching for home again.
