Bartleby's only preference? He’s not a fan of cats, so a cat-free home would be best for him.

Pike
Because every little adventurer deserves a BIG name, Pike was named for Pikes Peak, one of Colorado’s famous 14,000-foot summits.

Pike is smart, sweet, and silly! His pictures show you what a goof he is, however, he is also smart, responds well to training, and so loving.

Mo
Meet Mo! We think this 5-year-old is a Chow/Shepherd mix, and he definitely got the Shepherd brain! Smart. Trainable. Athletic. And LOVES being outside.
Mo is looking for an active person or family who wants a dog to hike, walk, run, and adventure with. He needs more exercise than your average Chow and absolutely thrives when he has something to do.
He walks well and is easy to harness, but he’s still working on leash skills. Wildlife is his weakness — squirrels, deer, you name it! He has a high prey drive and gets VERY vocal when he spots something.
- Dog selective — potentially compatible with the right female, but needs thoughtful introductions.
- Has shown promise with a savvy cat, but his prey drive means caution is needed.
- Crate trained & house trained
- No food aggression and takes treats gently.
Mo has come SO far, and we know there’s an incredible dog underneath that rough start.

Betty White
Betty is a petite little Chow Chow with a sweet, gentle, and quiet personality. She’s cautious and observant, but after just one week in foster care, she is already blossoming! Her tail is now up all the time, she happily goes in and out of her crate, follows the other dogs outside, and has even decided she should be the one leading the way to the backyard.
Betty is heartworm positive and currently receiving treatment — all heartworm treatment will be covered by HCCR until she tests negative.
Betty gets along beautifully with other dogs. Even when one playful pup grabs her tail, she simply gives him a dirty look and walks away. She truly doesn’t seem to have a mean bone in her body!
She is still learning to trust people and isn’t quite ready for lots of affection. She may get nervous when you reach into her crate, but she has shown no aggression—she simply retreats to her safe space when she needs a little extra security.
Betty loves lounging on the cool tile floor, watching the world from the front window, relaxing outside, and going for car rides! She would make an excellent little copilot for someone who loves taking their dog along for the ride.
This sweet girl doesn’t need someone to rush her. She needs someone who understands that trust takes time and is willing to let her confidence grow at her own pace. And she’s already showing us just how much she’s capable of blossoming.

Elvis Chowsley
Meet Elvis Chowsley! This handsome, 2-year-old, 46-pound boy is settling in, showing off his sweet personality, and proving that sometimes the quietest souls have the biggest hearts. Elvis is gentle, calm, affectionate, and so quiet that his foster hasn’t even heard him bark! He’s discovering his playful, silly side as he grows more comfortable. Sudden movements and unfamiliar noises can startle him, but he seeks reassurance from his trusted people and continues to make progress.
DOG FRIENDLY: Elvis gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and plays gently with smaller dogs. He truly enjoys canine company, and a friendly dog companion would be ideal.
CRATE TRAINED: He sleeps in his crate overnight and even chooses it for daytime naps.
KID FRIENDLY WITH CONSIDERATIONS: He’s done well with children ages 4 and 9. Because he startles easily, a home with older, respectful children would be the best fit.
STILL LEARNING: Elvis walks pretty well on a leash but can get tangled when startled. He signals when he needs to go outside and keeps his crate clean, though occasional indoor marking remains a work in progress. He’ll need a patient family willing to maintain a consistent routine.
Elvis needs a calm, predictable home with people who understand that confidence takes time. He has not shown defensive behavior in his foster home, and his gentle nature shines through as he learns to trust.

Atlas
Meet Atlas — Big Boy, Bigger Personality! At around 58–60 pounds, Atlas is a big, sweet boy with a whole lot of personality and some seriously silly habits! Atlas is still figuring out this whole playing with toys thing. Throw him a toy, and he might walk over to investigate it… then bark at it like it has personally offended him. Sometimes he’ll even pick it up and move it around! He’s trying his best, and honestly, watching him figure things out is half the fun.
Atlas enjoys being outside, where he can stretch out, relax, and simply enjoy the world around him. He has a playful side, too, and may enjoy a game of chase with another dog before deciding he has more important things to do.
Dog Compatibility: Atlas does well with other dogs! He can enjoy playing with canine friends, although he may occasionally bark at them when he gets bored. Proper introductions and compatible playmates will help set everyone up for success.
Cat Compatibility: A home without cats is recommended. Atlas tends to bark at cats, which could be very stressful for a feline housemate.
Training & Home Life: Atlas is a big, strong boy who would benefit from continued leash training and a family willing to help him build good manners. His foster is also continuing to learn how he does indoors, including working toward confidence around house-training and marking.
Atlas is still learning about the world, and he deserves a family who will appreciate his goofy personality, give him room to grow, and help him become the best version of himself.
