Bagheera is still searching for her forever family. Thanks to the unwavering love and patience of her foster mom, Bagheera now enjoys giving kisses, wagging her tail, and even sleeping on the bed. She remains cautious and needs time to feel safe, but once she builds trust and security, her love and loyalty is STRONG! She loves exploring her surroundings at her own pace, but slow introductions to new places and people are best. With her observant nature and sweet demeanor, Bagheera needs a calm, Chow-savvy adopter who understands her unique personality.
A peaceful, low-stress home without children under 12 years old is perfect. She thrives with a secure, fenced yard where she can roam safely, and a calm canine companion is ideal. Due to her prey drive, she needs a home without cats or small animals.
Bagheera is currently located in Denver, CO.

Yogi is a fantastic house guest and loves attention. Though he may sometimes invade personal space in his eagerness to bond, he's typical of the chow breed, showing protective instincts and alerting his family to visitors. While he may have selective hearing, he's smart and responds extremely well to basic commands. So far, he knows 'Sit', 'Stay', and 'Release'. According to his foster, he loves to drop on his back to roll around on the ground and enjoys getting his back rubbed. Yogi would do best in a calm environment and a home without children.
**Yogi is located in Hallsville, TX. He cannot be transported long-distance; however, transport can be arranged within Texas**

This sweet, affectionate, and playful Chow loves to be by your side, preferably touching you at all times. Whether it’s snuggling on the couch, going for long walks, or romping around in the snow, Pluto is all about quality time with his person.
While Pluto is thriving in his foster home, he’s still working through separation anxiety. He’s not a fan of the crate and has been known to jump baby gates. But with the help of time, a loving routine, and the comfort of his foster pack, he’s making great progress and settling in beautifully.
Pluto is great with dogs of all sizes, walks well on a leash, and is the ultimate cuddle bug. He needs a home where he won’t be left alone for long—ideally with another dog or a human who’s around often. If you’re looking for a devoted, loving, and ridiculously cute companion, Pluto is ready to couple up for life!
Pluto is currently located in Friendswood, TX.

Buddi is searching for a loving forever home! This handsome senior Chow mix is 7 years young and has a heart full of curiosity and wisdom.
In his old life, Buddi previously enjoyed the freedom of a doggie door, coming and going as he pleased. However, as his owner’s health declined, structure and discipline became inconsistent, allowing his independent Chow nature to shine through. Now in foster care, he’s learning routine and beginning to trust again. While he still appreciates his space, he’s showing more openness to companionship and love. He prefers not to be left alone for long periods and would thrive in a patient, understanding home where he feels safe and secure.
He deserves a home where he can continue to grow and be cherished. If you’re looking for a loyal, soulful companion, Buddi could be the perfect match.
Buddi is currently located in Magnolia, TX.

Buick was found after being struck by a car, and sadly, he suffered significant nerve damage to his left shoulder, rendering his left front leg useless. He also has entropion (a genetic eye condition) and is heartworm positive.
But despite everything he’s been through, Buick hasn't let a little rain dampen his spirits - he is one happy boy! He’s getting around on three legs like a champ, and now that he’s had successful surgery to remove his injured leg, his recovery is going incredibly well! His foster family says he’s adjusting quickly and getting stronger every day, with his spirit shining through. We’re confident that he’ll be fully recovered soon and will be ready for adoption in no time!
Buick is currently receiving the medical care he needs, including treatment for heartworms and ongoing care for his eyes. He’s showing incredible resilience, and we’re so proud of how well he’s doing. With his amputation behind him, Buick will be even more mobile and comfortable as he continues to heal.
Buick is currently located in Austin, TX.

Pinto is one of four brothers who were left behind in a yard when their previous humans moved out. A big-hearted group of shelter volunteers got them to safety and reached out to us after we said yes to their sister—who is now our sweet Squash! In an incredible act of kindness, the volunteers donated all of their vetting to us to help offset their future care.
Pinto is described as the social butterfly, always one of the first in the pile for affection.
Pinto and his brothers are about 9 months old, and while their family tree might include a Chow, a Dachshund, a Shepherd—or all three—they’ve all got one thing in common: they are sweet, affectionate lovebugs. Their foster says they’ve gone from shy and unsure to climbing into his lap, begging for pets, doling out kisses, and mastering their new routines like pros.
Pinto is located near San Marcos, TX
This quirky little guy is truly one of a kind. Once Frosty came to his current foster home and was surrounded by a pack of confident, friendly dogs, we started to see the real Frosty emerge. He began to blossom with daily exposure to canine companions, new people, and gentle, structured challenges. He’s not all the way there yet, but he’s so close—and we believe he’s just about ready for his forever family.
Frosty warms our hearts. He’s truly the happiest, sweetest boy in the whole wide world—and we just wish he loved being touched! Right now, he’ll accept pets when he’s in his crate and someone climbs in with him, but otherwise, he zooms by with the biggest smile on his face. He radiates joy 24/7.
- Soft and shy—never aggressive
- Loves other dogs—he’s a gentle, easygoing sweetheart
- Needs a calm, patient home
- Coat growing in after his fresh spring groom and getting cuter than ever
He LOVES every single dog he’s ever met. Total pushover, total sweetheart. What Frosty needs most is someone patient who will give him time, space, and unconditional love. Watching him bloom is such a gift—and whoever adopts him is going to experience that joy firsthand.
Frosty is located in Austin, TX
