There’s something about fall — the way the air changes, the way light softens, the way old things shed to make room for new growth. For Candace, this season is her turning point.
When she was first rescued, Candace was hidden beneath layers of mats and fear. She could barely walk and wanted to disappear. But with time, patience, and the gentle care of her foster mom, she’s begun to bloom.
Now, Candace greets each morning like a new chapter — trotting around the yard, inspecting every leaf, chasing the wind, and stretching in the sun. She’s learning what safety feels like, what trust feels like… what home could feel like.
She’s still not a fan of the crate or fish oil (some things never change), but she’s stronger, healthier, and happier every day. Candace is heartworm positive and continuing her slow-kill treatment, but that doesn’t stop her from embracing this new season with confidence and curiosity.
Candace would do best as the only dog, soaking up all the attention and calm she deserves.
Candace is currently being fostered in Texas.

Sofie, the amazing momma of the Motor Club puppies, is a petite, smooth-coated Chow/Shepherd mix with a gentle heart and a signature purple tongue. She loves attention and walks well on a leash.
Sofie gets along with people and other dogs, however, her pray drive is high (if it moves, she wants to chase) so no cats for this girl. She is done taking wonderful care of her six puppies, and is ready for her forever home.
Sofie is currently located in Hallsville, TX.

Pebbles is a rough-coat chow chow with a calm, loving soul. She’s the kind of dog who melts into your lap, enjoys quiet moments, and forms strong bonds with those she trusts.
Snuggle Expert – Pebbles loves curling up next to her foster sister Bambi (and yes, they squeeze into the same bed!). She thrives on companionship and affection, making her a loyal, devoted friend.
Low-Key Adventurer – She enjoys walks, leisurely hikes, and gentle play, but she’s just as happy relaxing at home.
Kid-Approved – Calm and patient with respectful children.
Flexible Friend – Pebbles could be a wonderful solo dog or a dog-selective companion. She enjoys the company of confident, easygoing dogs, but also thrives when she’s the center of attention.
True-to-Chow – Sweet, steady, and slow to warm up to strangers, Pebbles is classic chow—once she trusts you, she’s all heart.
Health: Heartworm positive but currently undergoing treatment, fully vaccinated, and spayed — she’s on the road to full recovery and ready for a loving home.
Pebbles is looking for a patient, loving family who will appreciate her gentle spirit and steady companionship. With the right home, she’ll bring endless love and quiet joy.
Pebbles is currently being fostered in Texas.

Boomer is a friendly, affectionate guy who LOVES people! He’s quick to warm up to new faces and has even been taking treats from strangers during his training sessions. He’s learning to be more comfortable with other dogs and enjoys his walks, but he can be selective with which dogs he likes. With balanced introductions, he’s improving every day.
Boomer is very food-motivated — which helps with training — but you’ll need to watch him around food. He’s not shy about helping himself to snacks (even off your lap!), so setting boundaries around food will be important.
He’s comfortable in his crate, knows basic commands, and is even getting the hang of leash walking without pulling. He’s also comfortable wearing a muzzle when needed.
Boomer is looking for an experienced, confident adopter (preferably with Chow experience) who will continue his training and provide the structure he thrives on. He’s incredibly smart and affectionate once he trusts you — he just needs a patient, understanding hand to help him settle in. Boomer has come SO far, and now he’s ready to take the final step into a loving forever home.
Boomer is currently located in Houston, TX.

Siri is a very sweet 2-year-old Chow mix who is eager to please and loves to play with other dogs! She also knows how to settle down and relax in her crate, giving you the best of both worlds. She is a little shy but is getting more confident on a daily basis.
She does play a little rough with her doggy companions, but she takes correction from other dogs very well. Due to her timid nature, she is cautious around cats and may be fine with a feline sibling with proper introductions. If you are looking for a good snuggle buddy on the couch while you watch your favorite TV show, Siri is the girl for you.
Siri is currently located in Austin, TX.

Heidi is around 2 years old, spayed, microchipped, and heartworm negative. She is a smaller Chow, about 43 lbs, but she is big on personality. Here is what you need to know about Heidi:
- Active, affectionate, and full of personality
- Loves attention and meeting new people
- Needs continued leash work and patience with manners
- Should be fed separately (food-motivated girl!)
- Sweet and engaging — ready to learn and love
Heidi is also dog-friendly with calm companions and loves human company. After all she's been through, she's finally ready to find her forever home filled with safety, love, and understanding.
Heidi is currently being fostered in Red Oak, IA

Bumblee is one of Junebug's pups. As the only girl, Bumblebee is calm and quiet. She loves human company and is a real snuggle bug. She is good with dogs, cats, and children.
Bumblee is located in Austin, TX.

At just 1 year old and 43 lbs, Kylo is already proving what a brave, resilient soul he is. After leaving the Garland Shelter behind, this sweet boy is now decompressing and showing his true colors — playful, loving, and full of life.
He’s been the perfect gentleman with his foster pack (especially his pittie pal, Monica) and sailed through his neuter like a champ. In true Kylo fashion, he’s also shown his clever side — managing a few great escapes from his cone!
Kylo’s charm shines brightest in the little moments — when he gently asks for attention, trots proudly beside his friends, or gives that “thank you” look that says he knows he’s safe.
Kylo is currently being fostered in Angleton, TX.
